Mafia Wars Facebook – I have the Fixer item that gives -8 cost to jobs… how do I use it or activate it?

So I got the item and I’m eager to use it so I can start to do missions for way cheaper but jobs aren’t any cheaper… do I have to do something to activate the item..? Seems so weird…

If those are the boosts, then all you need to do is simply do a job. Provided that you have enough energy for it, the boost will automatically activate itself.
